Ecological Consultation

Free initial 20-minute feasibility consultation. (Remote)

During the initial ecological assessment, we review your goals, vision, and budget. The standard consulting rate of $75/hour.

Permaculture Design

We meticulously design and integrate each element and system, building beauty, resiliency, and productivity of the ecosystem of your home, business, or community space.

Components included in a base design package:

❈ Comprehensive landscape design

❈ Detailed design narrative

❈ Plant guide with images
❈ Installation guide

❈ Management guide
❈ Additional learning resources

Building & Installation

For each design project, we require a 50% non-refundable deposit upfront for the materials (plant & hardscape). Upon receiving this deposit, we'll proceed with ordering the plants and set a preliminary timeline for their delivery or the commencement of your garden project.

For landscapes and hardscapes, we can build, install, and/or manage the different design components. Alternatively, we can make a clear plan for you to execute the project yourself.

Landscape Management

By their very nature gardens need attention. Our landscapes tend to need far less, but care is often required to ensure a continued return on your investment. In the critical first years after your installation, you may also hire us to maintain the design aesthetic and tweak or re-imagine any elements that need updating. Contact us as needed or set up a monthly or annual plan tailored to your garden. Management plan costs are dependent on frequency and scope.

 Considerations

01

Lifestyle Goals

We want your space to bring you joy and enhance your lifestyle. Help us by thinking through some of the questions:

❈ What specific activities will draw you outdoors?

❈ How might this space support physical and mental well-being?

❈ How involved in maintenance do you want to be?

❈ What positive changes in your life are you hoping for?

02

Design-Specific Goals

Reflect on the following questions to help refine what you want to achieve:

❈ What design elements would like to prioritize?

❈ Ecological goals - planting natives, biodiversity, soil health, etc.?

❈ Are you interested in integrating renewable energy sources?

❈ If growing food, what plants would best support your needs?

03

Budget

Each design can involve significant earthworks, plantings, and infrastructure development, and costs can vary significantly depending on the scale and complexity of the project.  Being transparent about your budget will help us make recommendations that are achievable within your means. This is an investment in yourself and your future.  In a relatively short time, our designs lower costs of living, increase the value of your space, and improve your ability to care for yourself and the environment.

04

Timeline

Consider the timeline for the project, including the design phase, installation, and ongoing maintenance. We can help you create a realistic timeline based on your goals, budget, and desired outcomes.

The best times for installation are typically April-June and October-September
