What is your timeline?
For each design project, we require a 50% non-refundable deposit upfront for the materials (plant & hardscape). Upon receiving this deposit, we'll proceed with ordering the plants and set a preliminary timeline for their delivery or the commencement of your garden project. We can deliver plants and lay them out for you to install, or you may have us install the garden. Site management services are also available to protect your investment and ensure the garden's success, especially in the first year or two when weed control and design-tweaking are often necessary if not crucial.
For hardscapes, we can build and install many components. We also provide project management and oversight for builds that we do not do ourselves.
Are you interested in DIY?
As part of your initial investment and our commitment to your success, we’ll schedule up to 2 complimentary consults at your request during the first year after installation. We’ll walk the landscape with you to identify any necessary management needs or adaptations. Together, we’ll see your landscape through its initial stages of growth as it becomes fully established, which is typically a 3-year process. Initial management will result in significant payoffs as soon as the second year.
How will this enhance your lifestyle?
By their very nature gardens need attention. Our landscapes tend to need far less, but care is often required to ensure a continued return on your investment. In the critical first years after your installation you may also hire us to manage weeds, remove unwanted seedlings to maintain the design aesthetic, and tweak or re-imagine any elements that need updating. Contact us as needed or set up a monthly or annual plan tailored to your garden. Management plan costs are dependent on frequency and scope.
How actively involved do you want to be mainating the space?
Depending on the size, scope, and estimated time our fees vary. Generally, projects start around $5,000 for an approximately 1,000ft landscape using 100% potted material and can reach well into the five figures. Seeding projects have even more pricing variability. The main cost will be for plant and seed material.

Considerations
01
Lifestyle Goals
We want your space to bring you joy and enhance your lifestyle. Help us by thinking through some of the questions:
❈ What specific activities will draw you outdoors?
❈ How might this space support physical and mental well-being?
❈ How involved in maintenance do you want to be?
❈ What positive changes in your life are you hoping for?
02
Design-Specific Goals
Reflect on the following questions to help refine what you want to achieve:
❈ What design elements would like to prioritize?
❈ Ecological goals - planting natives, biodiversity, soil health, etc.?
❈ Are you interested in integrating renewable energy sources?
❈ If growing food, what plants would best support your needs?
03
Budget
Each design can involve significant earthworks, plantings, and infrastructure development, and costs can vary significantly depending on the scale and complexity of the project. Being transparent about your budget will help us make recommendations that are achievable within your means. This is an investment in yourself and your future. In a relatively short time, our designs lower costs of living, increase the value of your space, and improve your ability to care for yourself and the environment.
04
Timeline
Consider the timeline for the project, including the design phase, installation, and ongoing maintenance. We can help you create a realistic timeline based on your goals, budget, and desired outcomes.
The best times for installation are typically April-June and October-September
